Join the team at HMP Isle of Wight as an Operational Support Grade where you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and secure daily operations of a busy prison environment. Your role spans a wide range of duties including security tasks like gate searches, managing deliveries, overseeing visitor activity, as well as monitoring telephone and CCTV systems. The position balances desk-based tasks with physically active responsibilities such as lifting, carrying, and escorting vehicles across the prison grounds.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct security searches and manage entrance gates.
• Supervise visitors and regulate delivery processes.
• Monitor communications including phone calls and CCTV footage.
• Perform physical activities including lifting and escorting vehicles throughout the premises.
• Drive within prison grounds as part of essential duties, necessitating a valid full UK driving licence.
• Work varied shifts encompassing nights and weekends to maintain continuous operations.
