  • Fostering connections by aiding relationships with family, colleagues, and community members.

Candidate Profile

  • Some life experience coupled with a positive, adaptable attitude is desired.
  • Experience supporting individuals with complex behavioural needs is advantageous but not mandatory as full training is provided.
  • Availability to work flexible shifts including days, evenings, sleepovers, and weekends (one weekend every two weeks, both days).
  • Possession of a calm nature and confidence to handle challenging behaviours effectively.
  • Comfort with daily use of computers and tablets.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Physical fitness to participate in community activities, daily walks, gym programs, and manage safety in heightened situations.
  • Valid Full New Zealand driver’s license.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Hourly wage ranges from $24.68 to $30.13 based on relevant qualifications, with opportunities for increased earnings upon further certification.
  • Support from IDEA Services towards completion of Level 2, 3, and 4 Certificates in Health and Wellbeing.
  • Generous long service leave entitlements and insurance benefits available after two years of service.
  • 'Refer a Friend' bonus program to reward employee referrals.
  • Access to a free Employee Assistance Program providing health and wellbeing support at any time.
