Role Overview

As a Leading Hand, your primary responsibility is to supervise and support teams working on civil construction and reticulation projects, ensuring high standards in safety, quality, and productivity within a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage teams executing reticulation and civil construction tasks.
  • Supervise daily site activities, ensuring safety compliance and quality workmanship.
  • Operate and oversee appropriate tools, plant, and equipment.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with supervisors, contractors, and team members.
  • Enforce adherence to Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental policies and procedures.
  • Contribute actively to team training, upskilling, and capability enhancement.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of three years’ experience in reticulation or similar civil works.
  • Practical knowledge of civil construction processes.
  • Proficient with tools, plant, materials, and equipment used in reticulation.
  • Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Dedication to HS&E standards, including incident reporting and correct PPE usage.
  • Physically capable of walking, bending, and lifting heavy items.
  • Holder of a valid Class 2 driver's license with WTR experience and skilled in driving under varying weather and road conditions.
  • Possess welding qualifications.
