Keyworker - Kaimahi Mataamua

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Keyworker - Kaimahi Mataamua based in central Auckland, working full-time on a rotating roster. This role focuses on managing caseloads and providing case management services that facilitate clients' transition to permanent housing, grounded in the values of Tāiki, including Manaakitanga, rangatiratanga, and Whakāwhanaungātanga. The role supports personal and professional growth through mentoring within a values-driven community.

Work Schedule

The position operates on a rotating roster with shifts from Sunday to Thursday, covering three time slots: 06:00-14:30, 09:30-18:00, and 13:30-22:00.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, client-centered case management using a 12+12 continuous support model.
• Oversee referral and intake processes following hostel standard operating guidelines.
• Work collaboratively with clients to foster confidence and develop life skills during their pathway to independence.
• Create and implement individualized plans to support clients’ transitions to community living and/or social housing.
• Assist with planning and conduct room inspections as preparation for tenancy sustainment efforts.

Qualifications and Experience

• A relevant qualification such as Bachelor of Health Science, Social Work/Practice, Psychology, Mental Health & Addictions, or a Certificate in Bi-Cultural Studies & Psychotherapy.
• A demonstrated commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and alignment with the Mission’s core values including Manaakitanga, Atawhai, Rangapū, Mana Tika, and Mana Ōrite.
• Proficient in needs assessment techniques and whanau-led support planning approaches.
• Strong empathy and understanding regarding mental health, addiction, poverty, and homelessness issues.
• Possession of a full clean New Zealand driver's license.
