About the Organisation

Role Overview
This role involves working directly within local school environments, managing a caseload of families by providing early intervention and preventative social work services targeted at vulnerable children, teenagers, and their whanau. The role encompasses individual and group interventions, applying a strengths-based, multi-systemic methodology to foster sustainable positive changes.
Required Skills and Experience
- Possession of a tertiary degree with a focus on Social Work
- Current registration with the Social Workers Registration Board
- Valid, clean full New Zealand driver's licence and access to a dependable vehicle
- Previous experience in social work practice
- Strong interpersonal abilities to cultivate and maintain positive relationships with clients, families, school personnel, and colleagues
- Capacity to uphold professional boundaries, meet key performance indicators, and comply with practice standards
- Experience working with children in educational settings is highly advantageous
- Proficient understanding and respect for Tikanga Maori and commitment to engaging with Tangata Whenua
