Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Supply Chain Specialist to steer operations for an expanding Amazon private label brand targeting the U.S. marketplace. This position blends strategic leadership with practical involvement in managing a fast-paced eCommerce supply chain and Amazon marketplace activities.
Primary Responsibilities
- Direct entire supply chain from suppliers in China through to fulfillment centers in the U.S. Amazon FBA network.
- Manage logistics including inbound shipping, customs processing, freight forwarding, and third-party logistics partnerships.
- Closely track and optimize inventory levels to avoid shortages and overstock scenarios.
- Create and execute accurate seasonal demand forecasts and inventory replenishment plans.
- Identify and resolve operational challenges and shipping delays before they impact supply.
- Oversee Amazon Seller Central accounts, ensuring compliance and resolving policy or intellectual property issues.
- Collaborate with marketing and PPC teams on inventory and product listing strategies to maintain competitive marketplace presence.
- Coordinate vendor sourcing, negotiations, and monitoring to guarantee product quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Lead and mentor a small operations team, establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) and fostering continuous improvement in processes.
Success Metrics
- Consistent maintenance of inventory levels across Amazon FBA and 3PL warehouses.
- Improved Inventory Performance Index (IPI) on Amazon.
- Minimized stockouts and excess inventory situations.
- Accurate short- and long-term forecasting aligned with seasonal market trends.
Candidate Qualifications
- Minimum of three years managing Amazon operations, supply chain logistics, or related fields.
- Comprehensive understanding of Amazon FBA, Seller Central, and third-party logistics management.
- Proven experience with international shipping, particularly China to U.S. routes.
- Demonstrated skills in inventory forecasting and replenishment planning.
- Experience handling compliance, account health, and operational issues specific to Amazon marketplaces.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
- Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet tools such as Google Sheets or Excel.
- Preferred but not required: Mandarin language capability, familiarity with product launch processes on Amazon, and experience with tools like Helium 10, SoStocked, ClickUp, or Asana.
- Prior leadership experience in eCommerce operational teams is a plus.
