Role Overview
This position is for an experienced supply chain professional to take charge of operations for a rapidly expanding Amazon private label business focused on the U.S. market. The role blends strategy and execution, with responsibility for keeping day-to-day operations running smoothly while improving overall marketplace performance.
You will oversee the full supply chain flow, from coordinating suppliers in China through to Amazon FBA fulfillment in the United States. The role suits someone who enjoys fast-moving environments, can solve operational issues quickly, and is comfortable balancing leadership with hands-on work.
Work setup: remote, aligned to U.S. EST hours.
Core Scope
This role covers Amazon marketplace operations, supply chain coordination, forecasting, inventory planning, vendor management, and team leadership. Roughly half of the work is operational and half is focused on leading a small team and improving processes.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full supply chain process from China-based suppliers to Amazon FBA warehouses in the U.S.
- Coordinate inbound shipping, customs clearance, freight forwarding, and 3PL partners.
- Track inventory closely to avoid both stock shortages and excess stock.
- Create and maintain replenishment plans and seasonal demand forecasts.
- Identify and resolve shipping delays, workflow issues, and other operational blockers before they escalate.
- Run Amazon Seller Central operations and maintain strong account health.
- Handle policy violations, intellectual property complaints, and other compliance matters.
- Work with PPC and marketing teams to align inventory with sales activity and campaigns.
- Monitor listings, product performance, rankings, and overall marketplace competitiveness.
- Source and negotiate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and logistics providers.
- Oversee purchasing while keeping quality standards and cost efficiency in balance.
- Develop strong supplier relationships and review vendor performance regularly.
- Guide and support a small operations team.
- Set KPIs, build accountability systems, and drive continuous improvement.
- Lead through active problem-solving and hands-on execution.
Success Metrics
- Keep inventory healthy across both Amazon FBA and 3PL storage locations.
- Strengthen Amazon Inventory Performance Index results.
- Lower stockout frequency and reduce surplus inventory.
- Deliver forecasting that matches seasonal demand patterns accurately.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in Amazon operations, logistics, or supply chain work.
- Strong working knowledge of Amazon FBA, Seller Central, and 3PL operations.
- Direct experience handling international shipments from China to the U.S.
- Proven ability in forecasting and inventory planning.
- Practical experience managing Amazon account health and compliance-related issues.
- Good analytical thinking and clear communication skills.
- Advanced skills in Google Sheets or Excel are preferred.
- Mandarin language ability is an advantage.
- Experience launching products on Amazon is a plus.
- Familiarity with tools such as Helium 10, SoStocked, ClickUp, or Asana is beneficial.
- Previous leadership experience in an eCommerce team is desirable.
