About the Role

The Department of Conservation (DOC) in Wellington, New Zealand invites applications for a two-year fixed-term Senior Business Analyst position focused on the International Visitor Access Charging programme. This initiative aims to develop and refine a charging system for international tourists visiting four major sites: Piopiotahi/Milford Sound, Aoraki/Mt Cook, Tongariro Alpine Crossing, and Mautohe/Cathedral Cove. Key Responsibilities

As the Senior Business Analyst, you will lead the comprehensive design of a cutting-edge, data-driven visitor access system emphasizing compliance and revenue maximization. Your role will involve:

  • Converting business requirements into system and architecture designs, deciding which data to collect and how to utilize it effectively.
  • Creating and enhancing compliance frameworks by leveraging diverse data sources such as camera recognition systems, visitor surveys, and operational datasets.
