Position Overview
StaffBright seeks a knowledgeable Human Resources Manager to oversee comprehensive HR functions for a growing manufacturing firm operating across several Midwest locations. The role requires direct involvement in the entire employee lifecycle, working closely with leadership to advance business objectives in a dynamic environment with 100-150 employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily HR operations across multiple manufacturing sites.
- Manage the entire recruitment process, from sourcing to onboarding and strategic workforce planning.
- Act as the main HR contact for employees and supervisors regarding policy, benefits, payroll, employee relations, and performance.
- Administer compensation and benefits, including conducting market analyses, salary reviews, and managing open enrollment communications.
- Handle payroll administration and HR information system management, including employee data and performance assessments.
- Collaborate with leadership to enhance employee engagement, training, recognition, development, and retention.
- Ensure adherence to all employment laws and maintain HR policies and procedures.
- Address and resolve employee relations issues with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Develop HR analytics and reports to assist in strategic business decision-making.
- Travel occasionally to support additional locations as required.
Required Qualifications
- At least five years of HR experience encompassing employee relations, payroll, and talent acquisition responsibilities.
- Background supporting manufacturing, production, or plant environments is essential.
- Ability to function independently as the main HR representative for a site or unit.
- Proficient in managing employee relations, collaborating with leadership, and engaging in sensitive discussions.
- Strong communication skills paired with a collaborative and proactive approach to HR challenges.
Preferred Certifications
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR credentials are advantageous.
