Job Overview and Responsibilities
This role requires overseeing coordination between internal teams, site personnel, and third-party vendors to ensure smooth operation and maintenance (O&M) of solar power plants. Proactive identification and resolution of potential issues are vital to maintaining site functionality and meeting energy yield guarantees.
- Coordinate activities across departments, sites, and contractors for effective O&M execution.
- Anticipate and address interface challenges and operational problems before they escalate.
- Supervise site and senior technicians to ensure adherence to O&M protocols defined in the EESL tender.
- Engage with district-level MSEDCL officials and EESL representatives in Mumbai and Dhule regions for seamless operations.
- Ensure full site functionality and maintain energy output guarantees, collaborating closely with on-site technicians.
- Conduct monthly site visits to monitor O&M quality and technicians' performance.
- Prepare and submit regular reports and returns to EESL officials and the head office in Ahmedabad.
- Manage spare parts and inverter maintenance, including inventory control and replenishment of spares and major assemblies.
- Work closely with techno-commercial and logistics teams to facilitate timely delivery and movement of required materials to sites.
- Coordinate and conduct Joint Monthly Review (JMR) meetings at sites to assess progress and issues.
- Accelerate fault resolution by collaborating directly with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and subcontractors to minimize energy production loss and ensure plant safety.
- Maintain strong engagement with subcontractors’ technical teams to maximize incentives achieved from each site.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- 7 to 8 years of experience in the operation and maintenance of solar power plants.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering.
- Master of Business Studies (MBS) degree is preferred.
