Job Overview and Responsibilities

This role requires overseeing coordination between internal teams, site personnel, and third-party vendors to ensure smooth operation and maintenance (O&M) of solar power plants. Proactive identification and resolution of potential issues are vital to maintaining site functionality and meeting energy yield guarantees.

  • Coordinate activities across departments, sites, and contractors for effective O&M execution.
  • Anticipate and address interface challenges and operational problems before they escalate.
  • Supervise site and senior technicians to ensure adherence to O&M protocols defined in the EESL tender.
  • Engage with district-level MSEDCL officials and EESL representatives in Mumbai and Dhule regions for seamless operations.
  • Ensure full site functionality and maintain energy output guarantees, collaborating closely with on-site technicians.
  • Conduct monthly site visits to monitor O&M quality and technicians' performance.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports and returns to EESL officials and the head office in Ahmedabad.
  • Manage spare parts and inverter maintenance, including inventory control and replenishment of spares and major assemblies.
  • Work closely with techno-commercial and logistics teams to facilitate timely delivery and movement of required materials to sites.
  • Coordinate and conduct Joint Monthly Review (JMR) meetings at sites to assess progress and issues.
  • Accelerate fault resolution by collaborating directly with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and subcontractors to minimize energy production loss and ensure plant safety.
  • Maintain strong engagement with subcontractors’ technical teams to maximize incentives achieved from each site.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • 7 to 8 years of experience in the operation and maintenance of solar power plants.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering.
