Role Overview
The Material Specialist position requires substantial expertise in materials management within the oil and gas industry. The key duties include identifying materials using OEM manuals, assisting maintenance engineers and planners by supplying essential material information, and handling material control requirements. Additionally, this role involves preparing purchase requisitions and sourcing quotations from various vendors and suppliers to meet project needs.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a focus on Materials Management.
- Proficient understanding of SAP's Materials Management Module as well as SAP Plant Maintenance.
- Between ten to fifteen years of relevant experience within the oil and gas sector.
