Role Overview
As the Vice President of Operations, you will oversee a portfolio of conventional residential properties, lead regional management teams, and nurture relationships with clients, ownership groups, vendors, and staff. This senior leadership position requires a commitment to representing the company's culture of excellence while driving operational and financial goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of conventional residential properties and inspire regional managers reporting directly to you.
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships with clients and ownership entities.
- Act as an ambassador for Pegasus Residential's culture both internally and externally.
- Establish enduring relationships with vendors and employees to enhance operational effectiveness.
- Develop and execute a competitive marketing strategy tailored to portfolio needs.
- Collaborate with property owners to define objectives and property goals.
- Implement cost control measures, optimize revenue generation, and manage delinquency efficiently.
- Partner with regional managers on annual budgeting processes and sales/marketing initiatives.
- Maximize rental income through strategic planning and oversight.
- Ensure timely and precise completion of weekly, monthly, and quarterly operational reports.
- Train and motivate associates to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all portfolio properties and major competitors.
- Ensure all company policies and procedures are adhered to across operations.
Candidate Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in property operations.
- Aleadership style characterized by leading from the front.
- Expertise in managing lease-up and luxury properties.
- Demonstrated success overseeing large portfolios involving multiple ownership groups, specifically with third-party management experience.
- Advanced bookkeeping abilities and familiarity with general accounting practices.
- Understanding of current legal responsibilities pertinent to property management.
- Outstanding organizational capabilities with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional demeanor and appearance suitable for senior leadership.
- Proficiency or familiarity with OneSite is highly encouraged; experience with Ops Technology is required.
