Role overview
Guild Garage Group is hiring a Senior Accountant to support month-end close and financial reporting for assigned business units. This role calls for a professional who communicates clearly, thinks analytically, solves problems effectively, and is eager to improve processes. Strong planning, prioritization, attention to detail, and a results-driven mindset are essential.
The position is fully remote.
Key responsibilities
- Complete monthly accounting tasks such as journal entries, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, fixed asset accounting, prepaid expense tracking, and gross margin review.
- Prepare, review, and analyze general ledger reconciliations throughout the close cycle.
- Support the creation of consolidated financial statements with detailed financial analysis.
- Maintain compliance with GAAP and applicable state and local requirements, including sales tax.
- Analyze accounting and financial data to spot trends and support estimates such as accruals and reserves.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams and act as a financial partner in reporting results.
- Assist with audits by providing support materials, PBC schedules, and explanations as requested.
- Take on other duties assigned by the Corporate Finance Team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in finance and/or accounting.
- Solid understanding of US GAAP.
- Strong command of the MS Office suite.
- Proven experience handling month-end close in a multi-entity environment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Experience working with an ERP platform such as Sage Intacct, NetSuite, or a comparable system.
