Role Overview

The General Ledger Accountant will support core accounting operations, with a focus on month-end closing, account analysis, reconciliations, reporting, and audit support. The role works closely with the accounting team and contributes to maintaining accurate books and financial records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle monthly close tasks through Oracle NetSuite ERP.
  • Support the accounting team in maintaining accurate bookkeeping and processing.
  • Monitor and review daily accounting entries in Oracle NetSuite.
  • Post journal entries for fixed assets, prepaid items, accruals, leases, provisions, and other adjustments or reclassifications.
  • Prepare and validate reconciliations for related parties and intercompany balances.
  • Assist in the preparation of trial balance reports and financial statements, including profit or loss, statement of financial position, and cash flow.
  • Generate monthly revenue and expense reports, along with analytical summaries.
  • Prepare ad hoc reports based on management requirements.
  • Help develop and maintain written accounting policies and procedures.
  • Support tax inspections in coordination with tax advisors.
  • Take part in interim and annual audit activities.
  • Investigate accounting issues and determine the correct treatment for transactions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
  • At least 1 year of accounting experience, preferably in public accounting.
  • IFRS certification or diploma is preferred.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel.
  • Prior exposure to Oracle NetSuite is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Power BI and SQL is preferred.
