Safety Officer

We are seeking a Safety Officer to conduct inspections and ensure the safety of workers by evaluating equipment, tools, and working environments in Oil & Gas Facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect safety-related equipment such as safety belts, ladders, ropes, rubber goods, and general tools, promptly replacing those that do not meet established safety standards.
• Monitor work crews to identify non-compliance with safety practices, including the improper use or absence of protective gear like goggles and gloves.
• Assess ditch and tunnel conditions; recommend installation of braces to prevent potential cave-ins and hazards.
• Investigate workplace accidents to determine root causes and develop preventive strategies.
• Provide training to workers on safety equipment usage and safe work procedures.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety procedures and compliance with all Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) protocols prior to and throughout work activities.
• Foster a culture of safety by encouraging the reporting of unsafe acts and conditions.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• A minimum of 8 years' experience in Oil & Gas maintenance with at least a High School education; or a minimum of 6 years' experience with a Diploma qualification.
• Strong technical knowledge related to maintenance activities and safety principles in the Oil & Gas sector.
• Excellent organizational skills combined with a proactive approach and effective communication capabilities.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, particularly within large organizations.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment under pressure and effectively solve problems.
• Strategic management skills to enhance safety operations and compliance.

Additional Information

This position is based in Jubail, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia, and requires presence onsite. The role offers an opportunity to belong, connect, and grow within KBR.
