Head of Planning and Scheduling

Overview

The position involves leading and managing all planning and scheduling activities related to routine maintenance operations including preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance conducted by contractors in operational areas. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the contractor’s maintenance planning team by offering technical guidance and problem-solving support.
• Develop and oversee the execution of long-term maintenance plans.
• Ensure the effective utilization of maintenance management systems like CMMS for obtaining operational efficiencies.
• Collect and analyze maintenance system data for management review and decision-making.
• Identify and implement resource optimization strategies.
• Contribute inputs necessary for the formulation of plant maintenance budgets.
• Compare actual maintenance expenditures versus budgeted costs and recommend actions for cost control.
• Compile monthly reports detailing maintenance plans, major completed activities, and participate in maintenance department meetings.
• Track and assess the performance of the maintenance planning section using KPIs and ensure targets are met.
• Review and manage manpower planning to support maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with operations, services, and company maintenance departments to resolve planning-related issues.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 15 years of experience in Oil & Gas maintenance with a diploma, or at least 10 years with a bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills within the Oil & Gas maintenance planning domain.
• Highly organized, proactive, and possess outstanding communication capabilities.
• Proven ability to lead large teams and organizations effectively.
• Good judgment and problem-solving abilities under pressure.
• Ability to think strategically and openness to innovative ideas.
• Experience in achieving business outcomes in multicultural environments.
