Static Technician I

Position Overview

KBR is seeking a skilled Static Technician I responsible for maintaining static equipment and piping systems in optimal condition. This role includes installation, repair, and maintenance of static equipment and process piping systems. The position is based in Jubail, Eastern, Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive job assignments, work instructions, drawings, and specifications from Supervisor and execute tasks accordingly.
• Lead a team of technicians during assigned projects.
• Utilize appropriate tools and heavy-duty specialized equipment obtained from the Central tool room.
• Operate fundamental machine tools such as grinders, power saws, drill presses, and threading machines.
• Perform installation and maintenance tasks as per SATORP procedures and guidelines.
• Carry out necessary tests including hydrostatic and pneumatic testing.
• Obtain necessary work permits prior to commencing jobs.
• Strictly adhere to SATORP safety protocols and standards.
• Consult Supervisors on any technical challenges encountered.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping practices during and after job completion.
• Ensure timely completion of tasks to meet company quality and scheduling standards.
• Comply fully with all safety, health, and environmental regulations.
• Report near misses, unsafe conditions, and unsafe acts promptly.
• Participate in scheduled safety and technical training sessions.

Qualifications & Experience

• High School diploma required; diploma in Engineering or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in Oil & Gas maintenance with High School qualification; at least 6 years with Engineering diploma.
• Valid certification from an accredited third-party certifying body or Saudi institute demonstrating competency in the assigned work.
• Strong technical knowledge pertaining to maintenance management of Oil & Gas facilities.
• Well-organized, proactive, and possess excellent communication skills.
