About the Role
Join Metcash as a Payroll Officer and take responsibility for delivering precise end-to-end payroll services across several company divisions. This role includes ensuring timely, accurate employee compensation while adhering to legislative and award requirements. You'll play a key role in supporting our workforce through proficient payroll processing, system expertise, and responsive stakeholder service.
What You Will Do
- Process both weekly and monthly payrolls accurately across multiple business units.
- Apply relevant awards, enterprise agreements, employment contracts, and legal regulations during payroll processes.
- Ensure all timesheets, payroll updates, and supporting documents are completed prior to payroll deadlines.
- Maintain up-to-date employee data, salary, and leave information within payroll and HRIS platforms.
- Calculate termination payments and prepare necessary statutory paperwork.
- Address payroll-related inquiries and generate payroll management and statutory reports.
What We Are Looking For
- Between three and five years of comprehensive payroll experience.
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, industrial awards, and enterprise agreements.
- Proficiency with payroll and HRIS software such as CHRIS21, Kronos, and/or PageUp is highly desirable.
- Exceptional attention to detail paired with effective time management capabilities.
- Confident and clear communication skills to engage with stakeholders effectively.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in PC applications including Excel and Word.
