Work Environment and Camp Life

Camps are located in remote areas where staff stay on-site with meals and accommodation provided during scheduled shifts.
Typical shift patterns include 4 weeks on/2 weeks off, 3 weeks on/1 week off, or 2 weeks on/2 weeks off rotations.
Most camps offer private or shared rooms, ensuite or shared bathrooms, full meals, WiFi, and some include health and gym facilities.
Partial uniforms are provided, and travel assistance for camp commutes is available.
Workdays can last 8-12 hours, including day or night shifts, with overtime compensation.
Health and wellness benefits become available after three months of employment.
The camps maintain a drug- and alcohol-free policy, with some roles requiring pre-employment testing and onboarding orientation.

Role Summary

The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for ensuring cleanliness and maintenance of the camp facilities to promote a safe and comfortable environment for guests and staff. The role requires resilience and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

Provide courteous and adaptable customer service to guests, clients, and colleagues.
Keep all assigned camp areas, including corridors and ancillary spaces, clean and sanitary in line with health, safety, and maintenance standards.
Change linens including bedsheets, comforters, and towels; manage garbage disposal and dusting duties.
Verify guest lists for room turnovers and report any discrepancies or cleaned rooms.
Daily cleaning of bathrooms, including floors, toilets, shower stalls, sinks, and mirrors.
Regular sweeping and vacuuming of mudrooms, hallways, and entrances—performed twice daily.
Sanitize high-touch surfaces such as doorknobs, light switches, water coolers, and laundry machines.
Deep cleaning duties for laundry rooms and gym facilities, including disinfecting and tidying.
Restock supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, and soap in common areas.
Maintain organized and clean linen storage and assist with laundry folding on check-out days.
Additional housekeeping duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

At least 1 to 2 years of experience in housekeeping or janitorial services.
Proficient communication skills in English (speaking, reading, writing).
Ability to work well within a team environment, offering motivation and support.
Strong attention to detail and well-developed organizational abilities.
Self-driven work ethic with capability to function independently.
Professional appearance and conduct consistently maintained.
Commitment to workplace safety and responsible practices.
Pre-employment requirements include orientation and training modules, a clear drug and alcohol test, government-issued ID for travel, WHMIS certification, and a criminal record check.

Employment Details and Benefits

Position is a term role starting immediately until August 7, 2026.
Hourly pay ranges between $18.47 and $21.55, with overtime wages applicable.
