Role Summary
The Room Attendant plays a key part in maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for hotel guests. The role focuses on keeping guest rooms and shared areas spotless, ensuring amenities are replenished, and supporting a comfortable stay while following all hygiene, safety, and hotel standards.
Key Duties
- Thoroughly clean and disinfect guest rooms, bathrooms, and common areas.
- Prepare rooms by making beds, replacing linens, and refreshing towels and other amenities.
- Remove dust and shine furniture, fixtures, and other surfaces.
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors as required.
- Restock guest-room essentials, including toiletries, towels, and minibar supplies.
- Keep cleaning tools and materials organized, supplied, and in proper condition.
- Inform the supervisor about any damage, faulty equipment, or unsafe situations.
- Check that room appliances, lights, and electronics are working correctly.
- Interact with guests in a polite, helpful, and professional manner.
- Respond quickly to guest needs, questions, or complaints.
- Follow hotel rules related to security and the privacy of guest information.
Qualifications
A high school diploma or an equivalent qualification is preferred. Previous exposure to housekeeping or cleaning work is an advantage.
