The Driver Identity Verification team safeguards Amazon’s platform by validating driver identities to prevent risks such as fraud and account takeovers. As the Risk Manager, you will lead this critical team to ensure the highest standards of customer experience and security while balancing operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee a team of investigators responsible for conducting thorough risk reviews of driver accounts.
- Develop and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and establish operational cadences to meet and exceed performance standards.
- Use data analysis, including Excel, Access, SQL, and other tools, to support investigations and generate reports.
- Identify and mitigate risks from fraudulent activities and account abuses, aiming for zero fraud incidents, account takeovers, false positives, and scams.
- Collaborate with global program owners to design business strategies that enhance customer experience through improved SLAs and policy feedback.
- Manage staffing forecasts and training programs to ensure team capabilities meet business demands.
- Monitor and report on key metrics like investigation volume, decision quality, and SLA adherence.
- Drive continuous process improvements and operational excellence within the team.
- Communicate findings clearly in weekly narratives and review forums, supporting data-driven decisions.
- Develop and grow employees’ skill sets to expand team capacity and effectiveness.

Minimum Qualifications
- Proficiency in MS Office suite, particularly Excel, as well as experience with data querying languages.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts to support ongoing operations.
- Strong business judgment, analytical skills, and data-driven decision making.
- Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities.
- Experience in team leadership, performance management, and process enhancement.
