Restaurant Assistant Manager

Overview

The Restaurant Assistant Manager role demands overseeing daily restaurant functions with a focus on staff supervision, customer service, and operational efficiency at our Niagara Falls, Ontario location. This is strictly an on-site position requiring a hands-on management approach.

Language and Education

• Proficient in English
• Must have completed secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience

Applicants should possess between one and two years of relevant experience in similar roles.

Responsibilities

• Assess and oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth functioning
• Monitor and review staff performance and conduct performance appraisals
• Develop and manage staff schedules effectively
• Supervise a team of 3 to 4 employees
• Account for cash handling and complete all balance sheets, cash reports, and related documentation
• Perform product and service cost analysis
• Organize and control inventory levels
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards
• Handle customer complaints and provide excellent customer service
• Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate all daily operations comprehensively

Technical Expertise

• Proficient in use of electronic cash registers and point of sale (POS) systems
• Competent with Microsoft Office suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
