Job description
Overview
The Restaurant Assistant Manager role demands overseeing daily restaurant functions with a focus on staff supervision, customer service, and operational efficiency at our Niagara Falls, Ontario location. This is strictly an on-site position requiring a hands-on management approach.
Language and Education
- Proficient in English
- Must have completed secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience
Applicants should possess between one and two years of relevant experience in similar roles.
Responsibilities
- Assess and oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth functioning
- Monitor and review staff performance and conduct performance appraisals
- Develop and manage staff schedules effectively
- Supervise a team of 3 to 4 employees
- Account for cash handling and complete all balance sheets, cash reports, and related documentation
- Perform product and service cost analysis
- Organize and control inventory levels
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards
- Handle customer complaints and provide excellent customer service
- Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate all daily operations comprehensively
Technical Expertise
- Proficient in use of electronic cash registers and point of sale (POS) systems
- Competent with Microsoft Office suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
