Role Overview

The Product Operations Specialist will oversee the end-to-end delivery, usage, and operational support of iWORK products. Partnering with business stakeholders, the specialist defines requirements, shapes solutions, coordinates with delivery teams internally and externally, and leads test planning and execution. The role includes managing post-delivery support, handling incidents, mitigating risks, and facilitating stakeholder changes. Using data, user feedback, and operational insights, the position aims to enhance product performance, adoption, and operational efficiency, autonomously tackling complex challenges across the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse and refine product development processes, workflows, methodologies, and tools to boost efficiency and effectiveness across product teams.
  • Manage and optimize product management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and roadmap software to ensure teams utilize them effectively.
  • Gather, interpret, and report vital product metrics, operational performance data, and user feedback to guide strategy and operational enhancements.
  • Create and update comprehensive documentation, playbooks, and best practice guides for product development practices and tool usage.
  • Serve as a liaison helping communication and collaboration among product managers, engineers, designers, marketing teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide training and ongoing assistance to product teams on new tools, processes, and methodologies.
  • Prepare and deliver operational updates and recommendations to multiple internal stakeholders.
  • Identify potential operational risks or bottlenecks and recommend measures to address them.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • At least two years of experience in product operations, project management, business analysis, or equivalent roles within technology-focused environments.
  • Proven expertise with product management software such as Jira, Confluence, Asana, or their equivalents.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a capability for data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, capable of clearly explaining complex ideas.
  • Proven capability to perform independently and collaboratively in fast-evolving, dynamic settings.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum frameworks is highly advantageous.
  • Experience working on public sector or government technology projects is a valuable asset.

Working Culture

  • A focus on rapid prototyping to quickly test and communicate ideas rather than prolonged discussions.
  • Encouragement of ownership, fostering a sense of responsibility not only for tasks but also for influencing project direction and innovation.
  • Support for continuous learning, particularly in exploring new architectures, technologies, frameworks, and languages essential for innovation.
