Job Overview

The Porter position is an integral part of maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of TA’s facilities to ensure a welcoming and sanitary experience for all customers. The role supports the store team by performing cleaning tasks and ensuring compliance with safety protocols to contribute to a pleasant environment for travelers.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all areas within the facility as designated by management
• Adhere to all safety and security procedures, promptly report unsafe situations, and take action as needed
• Appropriately wear and utilize protective equipment to ensure personal and team safety
• Understand the quantities and proper use of cleaning supplies for various tasks
• Complete additional duties related to facility maintenance as assigned

Compensation

The hourly wage for this role ranges from $13.00 to $14.00, depending on responsibilities, experience, and skill level.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

This role includes frequent talking and listening, and occasional physical activities such as standing, walking, kneeling, bending, crouching, crawling, climbing, and lifting objects up to 50 lbs. Visual abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment are necessary.

The position requires working outdoors in various weather conditions and may entail exposure to mechanical parts, fumes, dirt, dust, grease, oil, gas, strong cleaning chemicals, and sometimes loud noise.
