Role Overview

The Restaurant Utility Worker will maintain the cleanliness, upkeep, and basic maintenance of both the restaurant and its equipment. Duties involve routine cleaning tasks, deep cleans, and preventative maintenance to ensure a safe and pleasant environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete all required training sessions set by Zax LLC
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-kept restaurant location
• Perform daily and unscheduled cleaning and routine maintenance tasks
• Conduct regular cleaning and preventative servicing of all kitchen and restaurant equipment
• Inspect, operate, and troubleshoot equipment to identify issues
• Handle minor electrical repairs, including lighting maintenance
• Carry out deep cleaning tasks and pressure washing both inside and outside the facility
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders accurately
• Regularly check premises for potential plumbing, electrical, or equipment issues and address them proactively
• Maintain detailed and accurate maintenance records
• Comply with all Zaxbys Franchising LLC and Zax LLC policies and safety standards
• Report personnel or risk management concerns promptly to management
• Perform any additional tasks necessary to support smooth restaurant operations

Qualifications and Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old
• Have dependable transportation to reach the workplace
• Full-time candidates should be available to work 32 to 40 hours weekly
• Flexible availability including day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts
• Possess leadership ability, organizational skills, and effective interpersonal communication

Physical and Capability Requirements

• Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods
• Occasionally bend, stoop, crouch, climb ladders as needed
• Regular ability to lift, push, pull, and carry weights up to 50 pounds, including overhead lifting
• Use hands continuously for grasping and fine motor tasks
• Communicate clearly in spoken and written form
• Maintain sharp auditory and visual awareness to respond appropriately to surroundings
• Work in environments with temperature fluctuations and exposure to allergens
• Safely operate various restaurant equipment such as knives and fryers
