Pool & Gym Attendant

Overview

Join JW Marriott in Singapore as a Pool & Gym Attendant, where your role is central to creating a welcoming and enjoyable environment for guests engaging in recreational activities. This position is non-management and based onsite at 30 Beach Road, Singapore.

Role Responsibilities

• Encourage and assist guests in participating in available recreational programs and activities, ensuring a fun and safe atmosphere.
• Provide clear information about recreation facilities and their regulations to safeguard guest safety and promote proper use.
• Monitor activity areas vigilantly and respond swiftly and appropriately according to established emergency procedures.
• Identify guests who may be unable to safely engage in activities and escalate concerns to supervisors or management as necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of recreation equipment and supplies to ensure readiness and safety.
• Report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe working conditions promptly to management, and complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Adhere strictly to company policies regarding appearance, confidentiality, and asset protection, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
• Greet and assist guests warmly based on company standards, including addressing service needs and assisting guests with disabilities.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with guests and colleagues, including answering phone calls with appropriate etiquette.
• Support teamwork efforts and foster positive work relationships to meet collective goals.
• Process financial transactions for rentals, activities, and retail sales accurately and efficiently.
• Perform physical tasks such as standing or walking for extended periods, moving and handling objects up to and beyond 25 pounds (with assistance), and maneuvering through various physical environments safely.
• Carry out additional reasonable duties assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• No prior related work or supervisory experience required.
• Mandatory certifications include CPR and First Aid.
• Certifications or training on recreation equipment per local and state regulations are necessary.
