Role Overview

As a Payroll Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll operations. You will maintain payroll-relevant data accuracy, guarantee punctual payroll execution, and act as the key contact for employees and both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Manage monthly payroll including preparation, processing, and maintenance of payroll data within SAP and DATEV systems
Review and amend payroll-relevant data and generate accounting documents and analyses
Handle payroll tax and social security matters and liaise with health insurance funds, authorities, and other institutions
Prepare certificates, reports, and respond to external inquiries such as from the Federal Statistical Office
Assist with monthly and annual financial closings as well as internal and external audits
Serve as a contact point for payroll-related employee inquiries and manage HR and payroll mailboxes
Maintain and correct data in SAP and ATOSS systems, including overtime and time tracking issues

Required Qualifications

Proven solid experience in payroll processing
Excellent knowledge of payroll tax and social security regulations
Proficiency with DATEV and ideally experience with SAP and ATOSS
Methodical, meticulous, and responsible working style
Strong team skills, and high service and communication orientation
