Role overview

As a Payroll Specialist (m/w/d), you will ensure that payroll runs smoothly and accurately. Your work will help keep all compensation-related data correct, support colleagues with payroll questions, and serve as a key contact for public authorities and external partners.

Key responsibilities

  • Check technician documents in SAP and maintain all payroll-relevant master data in DATEV.
  • Prepare pre-payroll and monthly payroll runs, including corrections, posting documents, and related files.
  • Handle questions related to social insurance and income tax, and communicate with health insurance providers, employers’ liability insurance associations, and tax offices.
  • Prepare certificates and reports, and process external requests such as those from the Federal Statistical Office.
  • Support monthly and annual closing activities as well as internal and external audits.
  • Act as the first contact for employee questions related to payroll.
  • Manage HR and payroll inboxes and process overtime requests.
  • Support maternity leave and parental leave cases, including entries in DATEV and ATOSS.
  • Review incorrect records in SAP and ATOSS and handle STI payouts.

Your profile

  • Solid professional experience in payroll or wage and salary accounting.
  • Very good knowledge of income tax law and social insurance law.
  • Confident handling of DATEV; experience with SAP and ATOSS is an advantage.
  • Strong accuracy and a clear sense of responsibility.
  • Well-organized, independent working style and a collaborative mindset.
