Role Overview

The Supply Chain Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the supply chain functions for Surgical Services, Interventional Radiology, and Cardiovascular Care within Baylor Scott & White Health. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise, and coordinate Supply Chain Services staff as directed by Corporate Operations senior leadership.
  • Manage and implement inventory control procedures covering supply acquisition, receiving, distribution, and maintenance of PAR levels across Surgical Services, Interventional Radiology, and Cardiovascular Care.
  • Act as the primary liaison connecting Supply Chain Services with Surgical Services, Interventional Radiology, Cardiovascular Care, and Central Processing to ensure streamlined management of supplies, instruments, and equipment.
  • Ensure standard operating procedures align with Supply Chain Services best practices to optimize overall efficiency.
  • Participate in or lead project teams, managing activities and project plans while preparing status reports and other documentation.
  • Review and resolve all relevant Supply Chain reports including Open Receiving, Invoice Discrepancies, and MM280 reports.
  • Provide leadership during semi-annual system-wide physical inventory counts.
  • Support system-wide product and service agreement transitions.
  • Maintain focus on delivering cost-effective patient care by promoting proper use of contracted supplies and equipment.
  • Complete special assignments and provide assistance to field operations when required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience (four years or more).
  • At least five years of relevant work experience.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Purchasing Management (CPM) or Accredited Purchasing Practitioner (A.P.P.) preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Supply Chain ERP systems is essential.
  • Strong written communication capabilities including report and presentation design skills.
