Role Overview

We are seeking a Logistics Coordination professional to support operations at the Gbaran facility. The ideal candidate will hold an OND, HND, or Bachelor's degree in any discipline and have extensive supervisory experience in logistics or related fields.

Key Responsibilities

Facilitate and expedite the movement of materials between departments and from office to field while ensuring quality standards.
Inspect incoming goods to verify quality, quantity, and conformity with specifications.
Maintain up-to-date records of deliveries, inventory movements, and sector requirements to meet deadlines.
Manage and control resources by coordinating between R&D, warehouse, logistics, and field locations.
Collaborate with procurement to address performance gaps and expedite resolution of delays.
Monitor supply inventory and promptly report low stock to relevant teams.
Build and sustain professional relationships with vendors and suppliers to guarantee timely material delivery.
Coordinate in-house material transfers aligned with production schedules.
Verify received materials for discrepancies such as damaged or unmarked parts.
Coordinate multiple internal and external parties to ensure timely delivery of equipment, materials, and resources.
Serve as primary interface for transportation management to align with delivery timelines.
Maintain accountability for incoming and outgoing materials at field locations and workshops, ensuring prompt follow-up for repairs.
Track procurement card materials to confirm successful delivery to designated sites.
Manage vehicle, barge, and vessel booking, scheduling, and tracking activities.
Undertake other ongoing improvement tasks as required.

Work Environment & Schedule

Primary work location is at the Gbaran facilities, accessible by air (helicopter) and land transportation.
Work base is in Port Harcourt, with possible attendance at training courses and assignments within the area.
Work cycle consists of 12-hour daily shifts (7am to 7pm) over a 21-day period.
Schedule follows a 3 weeks on, 3 weeks off rotation.
Candidates are expected to coordinate absences with their contractor to ensure suitable coverage.
Flexibility to work extended hours when required.

Required Qualifications & Experience

A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant supervisory experience in logistics coordination.
Educational qualification of OND, HND, or Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
