This is a permanent, full-time loading position based in Exeter. The job sits within a national waste and recycling operation focused on supporting a cleaner, greener future while delivering reliable service to customers.
What the role involves
You will work with the wider crew to collect household waste and recycling from customers, helping to load vehicles used for municipal waste and recycling collection. The role requires consistent attention to health and safety standards and compliance with contractual obligations while maintaining a high level of service.
Working pattern and location
The post is based at Exeter, Greendale Business Park. The standard schedule is Monday to Friday, with 40 hours of work per week.
Pay and conditions
The hourly rate is £12.81. The employer provides PPE, offers company benefits, and states that the vacancy is for a permanent contract.
What you need
Applicants should be dependable, able to communicate well, and comfortable working as part of a hardworking team. The job involves significant physical effort, including walking around 10 miles a day, lifting, pulling, and repeating manual movements.
