What the role involves

You will work with the wider crew to collect household waste and recycling from customers, helping to load vehicles used for municipal waste and recycling collection. The role requires consistent attention to health and safety standards and compliance with contractual obligations while maintaining a high level of service.

Working pattern and location

The post is based at Exeter, Greendale Business Park. The standard schedule is Monday to Friday, with 40 hours of work per week.

Pay and conditions

What you need

Applicants should be dependable, able to communicate well, and comfortable working as part of a hardworking team. The job involves significant physical effort, including walking around 10 miles a day, lifting, pulling, and repeating manual movements. Previous experience in the waste sector and experience with stillage vehicles, kerbside loaders, or RCVs would be an advantage.
