Junior Architect

Job Overview

Streetsense invites applications for a Junior Architect with a focus on interior architecture and strong expertise in Revit. This role involves transforming design ideas into precise technical drawings, especially for multifamily and hospitality sectors. Candidates should have at least five years of drafting experience in interior design or architectural settings, demonstrating technical excellence, attention to detail, and collaboration skills with design and project management teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Create comprehensive Revit drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, detailed millwork, and all necessary documentation for design and construction phases.
• Convert conceptual drafts, sketches, and design markups into fully coordinated, construction-ready technical drawings.
• Maintain and revise Revit models through all project stages, ensuring accuracy and consistency with project standards.
• Assist interior designers by producing documentation such as finish plans, reflected ceiling plans, interior details, and coordination layouts.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external consultants to weave together technical details, resolve discrepancies, and ensure completeness of drawings.
• Manage multiple assignments simultaneously while meeting project deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.
• Help organize drawing sets for client presentations, permit filings, and construction packages.
• Conform to BIM protocols and contribute to enhancing drafting workflows.

Candidate Requirements

• At least five years of professional drafting experience in an interior design or architectural environment.
• Advanced skills in Revit are mandatory.
• Experience with multifamily or hospitality project types is highly desirable.
• Solid technical knowledge of interior construction, detailing, building materials, and systems.
• Capability to interpret design intentions and produce clear, precise technical drawings.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Adobe Suite, or similar software is advantageous.
• Excellent organizational skills and acute attention to detail, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-focused setting.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities, along with a willingness to learn from senior colleagues.
• Preferred education includes a degree or certificate in Interior Design, Architecture, Drafting, or related disciplines.

Salary

Annual salary ranges between $60,000 and $70,000.
