Frontend Engineer, Fauna Robotics

Position Overview

We are looking for a Frontend Engineer to join our team focused on delivering comprehensive web and native applications. These applications include interactive robot control interfaces, real-time telemetry visualizations, and internal development tools. Your work will influence how operators, customers, and researchers interact with our robotics technology at scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement real-time data visualization solutions for robotic telemetry and analytics.
• Develop internal tooling to streamline development and operational workflows.
• Enhance frontend performance to support low-latency, real-time user interactions.
• Collaborate with robotics and backend teams to architect APIs and data structures.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum three years of experience in frontend development.
• Proficiency in React and modern web technologies for building web applications.
• Experience in responsive design, cross-browser development, and testing.
• Proven ability to own major project deliverables end-to-end.
• Strong skills in TypeScript and JavaScript programming languages.
• Knowledge of REST APIs and WebSocket protocols for real-time data communication.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with native mobile development (Android/iOS) and languages such as Python, Objective-C, Swift, C#, Java, SQL, HTML5/CSS3.
• Familiarity with video encoding and streaming media standards.
• Experience developing scripts or plugins for 3D applications like Maya or Blender.
• Experience creating control interfaces or dashboards for hardware systems.

Compensation

Salary range for this role in New York City is $158,100 to $213,800 annually, with final pay determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
