Freelance Presentation Designer

Overview

Robert Half’s client is seeking a freelance Presentation Designer to engage in part-time contract work on a remote basis. This role involves supporting 5 to 15 hours weekly with seasonal workload changes. The designer will collaborate closely with creative, account, and marketing teams to craft visually compelling presentations that simplify complex concepts for sales, executive, and event audiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Create high-level presentations tailored for sales, executives, and events.
• Convert technical and intricate content into clear, engaging, and accessible slide designs.
• Design individual slides that effectively communicate while maintaining the flow and narrative of the presentation.
• Develop conceptual layouts emphasizing strong visual hierarchy and clarity.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand objectives and recommend content simplifications and enhancements.
• Apply and adapt brand guidelines across presentations aimed at various audiences and purposes.
• Build and maintain custom PowerPoint templates and master slides.
• Incorporate stakeholder feedback efficiently while upholding superior design standards.
• Proofread presentations meticulously to ensure consistency, accuracy, and detail.
• Ensure compliance with standard accessibility requirements in all presentations.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• More than five years of direct experience in designing presentations for executive-level audiences.
• Advanced expertise in PowerPoint, along with competent skills in Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Strong conceptual thinking matched by high-quality execution skills.
• Proven aptitude for designing presentations involving complex or technical topics.
• Deep understanding of layout, typography, color theory, and visual hierarchy.
• Detail-oriented and self-motivated, capable of managing tasks independently in a part-time capacity.
• Adept at translating feedback into thoughtful and effective design refinements.
• Experienced with creating and managing custom PowerPoint templates and slide masters.
• Must provide a portfolio showcasing relevant presentation design work.
