Role Overview
This freelance, 1099 contractor role offers flexible teaching opportunities in creative writing. Instructors can schedule one or several courses weekly, determine course duration (e.g., 7 to 8 weeks), set virtual class sizes, and establish course pricing. Ray of Light Wellness LLC supports promotion and platform management while sharing profits—70% to the teacher, 30% to the company. This position allows educators to enhance professional visibility and generate passive income, benefiting from the company's active Instagram presence of over 8,000 followers.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop course curriculums for creative writing classes
- Conduct virtual classes facilitating student learning in writing skills
- Create a welcoming, encouraging, and inclusive online learning environment
- Provide constructive feedback to guide student improvement
Qualifications
- Competency in lesson planning and creation of engaging educational materials
- Proven teaching experience with diverse student groups
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Experience in mentoring or training individuals in creative or educational settings
- Strong organizational and time management capabilities
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Creative Writing, English, or related field required; Master's degree preferred
- Prior experience teaching creative writing is highly beneficial
