Role Overview

The Fire Fighting Technician plays a key role in installing, inspecting, testing, and servicing fire protection systems and equipment at client locations throughout Qatar. This contract position requires on-site presence to conduct regular inspections of fire alarms, sprinkler systems, extinguishers, emergency lights, and other related fire safety components, ensuring compliance with local laws and industry norms.

Key tasks include troubleshooting, corrective maintenance, recording inspection outcomes, assisting with safety audits and drills, coordinating with site managers, responding to maintenance requests, and managing tools and materials responsibly. The technician is also accountable for adhering to company standards and contributing to ongoing improvements in fire safety operations.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Proficient in installing, inspecting, testing, and maintaining various fire protection equipment such as alarms, sprinklers, and extinguishers.
• Firm knowledge of fire safety laws, codes, and standards relevant to Qatar and neighboring regions.
• Competent in reading and comprehending technical schematics, equipment manuals, and maintenance guidelines.
• Experienced with diagnostic instruments, hand tools, and safety gear in industrial or construction settings.
• Effective communication skills for reporting, documentation, and collaboration with clients and team members.
• Track record of safe work practices, adherence to standard procedures, and compliance with health and safety protocols.
• Previous hands-on experience in firefighting, fire safety, or similar technical roles; experience in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) area is preferred.
• Possesses relevant technical certifications or diplomas in fire protection, mechanical, electrical, or allied fields; additional fire safety certifications are advantageous.
• Able to work reliably on-site under various weather and environmental conditions, demonstrating punctuality and cooperative teamwork.
