Fire Executive

Job Overview

This position is for a Fire Executive based in Jamnagar, Gujarat. The role involves managing the fire station's operations and supporting the maintenance and availability of emergency vehicles and firefighting equipment to ensure prompt control and mitigation of fire incidents. It follows established policies and standard operating procedures related to fire safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Adhere to and enforce fire safety policies, procedures, and integrity programs to guarantee service quality.
• Stay updated on industry best practices to help improve systems and processes continuously.
• Implement incident command techniques for emergencies and actively engage in firefighting and rescue operations.
• Assist in investigating fire incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and execute preventive action plans.
• Regularly inspect, test, and maintain all firefighting equipment and systems, reporting any faults found.
• Monitor and manage the availability and reliability of firefighting equipment, vehicles, and communication tools at fire stations to ensure readiness.
• Perform emergency responses including conducting daily fire drills to improve preparedness.
• Enforce compliance with fire safety standards, supporting corrective measures to address any non-compliance.
• Keep detailed logs and documentation of shifts, occurrences, and safety compliance activities.

Additional Information

• Internal collaboration includes coordination with the S&OR team and site personnel.
• Engages externally with vendors and consultants as necessary.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum education of high school diploma, preferably from a science stream, with valid fireman certification.
• Relevant experience ranging from zero to three years.

Career Progression

Potential future roles include advancement to Panel Officer (Fire) or Senior Engineer Fire Services.
