Role Overview
Freyssinet New Zealand seeks an experienced Estimator to join the Auckland Remedial team, focusing on high-value remedial and strengthening projects across New Zealand that safeguard critical infrastructure longevity.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive and precise cost estimates for remedial construction projects.
- Create methodologies, construction schedules, and pricing plans.
- Produce well-crafted tender and bid documentation.
- Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
- Offer technical and commercial advice during pre-contract phases.
- Assist in identifying and converting new project opportunities.
Project Types
- Concrete repairs and structural reinforcement.
- Seismic strengthening initiatives.
- Infrastructure including bridges, wharves, industrial and commercial buildings.
Candidate Profile
- Commercially-focused, highly detail-oriented, comfortable with technical complexity.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- At least 5 years’ experience in estimating or pre-contract functions.
- Strong background in remedial and specialist construction work.
- Proven skills in cost analysis, bid coordination, tender preparation, planning, and methodology development.
Preferred Background
- Experience as an Estimator or Quantity Surveyor.
- Familiarity with repair works, marine construction, structural strengthening, or heavy civil projects.
