Role Overview

Freyssinet New Zealand seeks an experienced Estimator to join the Auckland Remedial team, focusing on high-value remedial and strengthening projects across New Zealand that safeguard critical infrastructure longevity.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive and precise cost estimates for remedial construction projects.
• Create methodologies, construction schedules, and pricing plans.
• Produce well-crafted tender and bid documentation.
• Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
• Offer technical and commercial advice during pre-contract phases.
• Assist in identifying and converting new project opportunities.

Project Types

• Concrete repairs and structural reinforcement.
• Seismic strengthening initiatives.
• Infrastructure including bridges, wharves, industrial and commercial buildings.

Candidate Profile

• Commercially-focused, highly detail-oriented, comfortable with technical complexity.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• At least 5 years’ experience in estimating or pre-contract functions.
• Strong background in remedial and specialist construction work.
• Proven skills in cost analysis, bid coordination, tender preparation, planning, and methodology development.

Preferred Background

• Experience as an Estimator or Quantity Surveyor.
• Familiarity with repair works, marine construction, structural strengthening, or heavy civil projects.
