Renowned for delivering turnkey projects, the company is expanding its project portfolio and seeks an experienced Estimator.

Job Overview

The Estimator role involves generating precise cost projections and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for furniture manufacturing and joinery assignments. This entails ensuring conformity with client expectations, technical requirements, and production capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze tender documents, drawings, specifications, and scope of work thoroughly.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and material take-offs specific to furniture and joinery tasks.
  • Solicit and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations.
  • Collaborate with design, production, and procurement teams to verify cost accuracy and feasibility.
  • Deliver quotations promptly and support tender submission processes.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of cost data, supplier pricing, and prevailing market rates.
  • Update estimates based on modifications in projects, design alterations, or client input.
  • Assist project teams with budget planning and cost monitoring during execution phases.

Candidate Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in cost estimation within furniture manufacturing, joinery, or interior fit-out in the UAE context.
  • In-depth knowledge of materials, production techniques, and cost calculation methods applicable to custom furniture and woodworking.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and estimation-related software tools.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical aptitude with great attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to coordinate across teams.
  • Educational qualifications: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
