About the Role
Join our logistics team as a Delivery Porter based in Avonmouth, working closely with operations tied to the Doncaster site. This full-time, onsite role primarily runs during day shifts, with up to two overnight stays per week and early start times between 5:00 and 6:00 AM. Your vehicle will be pre-loaded overnight to prepare you for your delivery routes the next day.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the delivery of premium kitchen products to various sites and private residences across the nation.
- Complete 6 to 8 deliveries on average daily.
- Deliver exceptional face-to-face customer service to clients.
- Collaborate as part of a two-person team alongside an HGV driver.
- Use PDA scanners to verify delivery details accurately.
- Perform manual handling tasks utilizing equipment such as pump trucks and sack barrows.
Candidate Requirements
- Possess a valid UK Category B driving license with no more than 6 points and no DR, DD, or IN endorsements.
- Demonstrate willingness to acquire a CSCS Green Labourer Card within three months of joining.
- Exhibit strong customer service aptitude and maintain a professional demeanor.
- Commit to high standards regarding uniform, personal protective equipment (PPE), hygiene, and vehicle cleanliness.
- Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial; however, comprehensive training will be provided.
