Role Overview
Join Boyle Sports as a Customer Service Assistant located in Birr. In this role, you will deliver exceptional customer service by being approachable, well-informed, and friendly. Key duties include supporting the Shop Manager in daily store management, ensuring high operational standards, and accurately handling bets and transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Shop Manager and Assistant Manager in the store's daily operations.
- Take charge of store management during managerial absences, including opening/closing procedures and team guidance.
- Handle cash management procedures responsibly and maintain store presentation at a high standard throughout the day.
- Process customer bets using various channels such as betting terminals and EPOS systems accurately and efficiently.
- Promote the brand by educating customers on multi-channel and digital services.
- Work effectively under pressure while continuously seeking self-improvement and ways to enhance store operations.
- Uphold social responsibility commitments alongside safety, compliance, and operational procedures.
- Foster a collaborative team environment and introduce customers to both in-store and online product offerings.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong customer service orientation with integrity and trustworthiness.
- Flexibility to work within a seven-day business week and adaptability to a retail shop setting.
- Excellent attention to detail paired with strong numeracy capabilities.
- Proactive, enthusiastic team player who can also work independently.
- Interest in the sports industry with confidence in building rapport with customers.
- Motivated to progress professionally within the company and brand-focused.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and creative thinking skills.
- Organized, dependable, and trustworthy with proven cash handling experience.
Preferred Experience
- Previous exposure to retail or industry experience is advantageous but not mandatory, as comprehensive training will be provided covering sports and betting knowledge.
