About Beit Midrash Oz
Beit Midrash Oz is dedicated to fostering meaningful engagement with classical Jewish literature, including its texts, ideas, and culture. As an inclusive Jewish learning centre, Oz aims to open access to the depth of Jewish traditions and intellectual heritage that remains out of reach for many, including much of the broader Jewish community. The organisation is currently entering a growth phase focused on establishing sustainable operations, professional governance, and an inclusive environment welcoming people of diverse backgrounds into the rich culture of Jewish learning.
Role Overview
The Chief Executive Officer will play a pivotal role in advancing Oz as one of Australia’s leading emerging Jewish organisations. This leadership position is focused not simply on day-to-day management but on entrepreneurial and community-oriented stewardship to help Oz evolve from a founder-led start-up to a scalable, enduring institution with long-term impact.
Candidate Profile
- Proven track record in securing and increasing revenue across multiple fundraising channels, such as philanthropy, government grants, corporate partnerships, and community fundraising campaigns.
- Experience working within community, cultural, educational, or not-for-profit sectors.
- Strong capability to engage with and influence high-level stakeholders.
- Deep commitment to Oz's mission of promoting a vibrant, intellectually rigorous, and welcoming environment that supports Jewish literacy and cultural engagement.
