About the Role
We are partnering with an established diagnostics company to recruit a Business Development Manager specializing in Histology. This position requires a candidate with extensive connections within hospital laboratories, particularly the Health Service Executive (HSE), and demonstrated success in marketing technical products to pathology and histology divisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and expand hospital laboratory accounts across both HSE and private sectors.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with biomedical scientists, laboratory managers, pathologists, and procurement teams.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within histology-related workflows, instrumentation, and consumables.
- Conduct product demonstrations, facilitate workflow discussions, and deliver detailed technical presentations.
- Oversee tender processes, pricing proposals, and contract renewals.
- Provide support for product evaluations, staff training, and onboarding within histology laboratories.
- Keep CRM data up to date while managing sales forecasts and pipeline activities.
- Collaborate closely with internal technical, applications, and customer support teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Established professional network within hospital laboratories under the HSE.
- Proven track record in selling to histology, pathology, or biomedical science sectors.
- Comfortable discussing technical products and understanding laboratory workflows.
- Experience navigating procurement protocols and managing tender submissions.
- Ability to independently manage a sales territory and cultivate trusted relationships.
- Strong communication skills with a pragmatic and solutions-oriented mindset.
