Role Overview

VulnCheck is hiring a highly organized, detail-focused Bookkeeper to work with the Controller on daily finance operations for a growing SaaS business. The position will support core accounting work such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month-end close, while helping keep the company’s financial records accurate and well maintained as the organization expands. This opportunity suits someone who enjoys structured work, takes pride in precise books, and wants to build a career within a finance team at a technology company.

Work Location

This is a US remote position, with preference for candidates based in Oregon, Austin, or Boston.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Helping manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger transactions
• Assisting with monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Creating and recording journal entries as part of period-end close activities
• Preparing backup schedules and supporting documentation for financial statements when needed
• Providing support during external audits
• Keeping records and source documents organized and accessible
• Identifying workflow gaps and helping the Controller improve finance processes

What We’re Looking For

Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and bring 3 to 5 years of accounting experience, ideally with meaningful exposure to SaaS or other technology environments. A solid grasp of GAAP is important, along with hands-on experience in AP/AR workflows. Candidates should be comfortable using QuickBooks, Ramp or similar bill-pay platforms, and Excel and Google Sheets, including tools like pivot tables and VLOOKUPs. Familiarity with AI-assisted tools for everyday tasks is also expected. The role calls for someone who is tech-savvy, quick to learn new software, highly accurate, and able to handle a large volume of transactions independently in a fast-paced setting. Cybersecurity experience is considered an advantage.
