Mission and Role Overview
We invite passionate professionals to join Puratos Ireland as an Application Specialist based in Dunboyne, County Meath. This position plays a key role in supporting ambitious growth ambitions and inspires innovation in health, wellbeing, and sustainability within the bakery and patisserie sectors.
Responsibilities
- Deliver advanced technical support and advisory services to major and medium-sized industrial bakeries and patisseries across Ireland.
- Understand customer needs deeply and assist in implementing products and innovative concepts effectively.
- Build and maintain robust, long-term relationships with assigned key accounts to ensure sustained collaboration.
- Proactively advocate for Puratos’ extensive product range and innovative solutions.
- Cooperate closely with customers to co-develop tailored solutions aligned with their requirements.
- Lead projects involving deployment of both existing and newly launched products in customer production environments.
- Adapt Puratos Group’s new product development guidelines to the Irish market, supporting product launches via test baking, sample evaluation, and training sessions.
- Identify and manage emerging business opportunities and risks within current product portfolios to aid business development in achieving sales targets.
- Work collaboratively with internal cross-functional teams including Technical, Marketing, and Sales, plus international Puratos networks, utilizing CRM and analytical tools such as PowerBI.
- Keep up-to-date with baking and ingredient knowledge, emerging trends, and maintain a comprehensive understanding of all Puratos product offerings.
- Develop and sustain a network of both internal experts and external professionals specializing in ingredients and equipment.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Academic qualification in bakery, confectionery, or a related discipline.
- At least four years of professional experience in an industrial bakery environment.
- In-depth knowledge of patisserie automation, analytical methodologies, new product development processes, and ingredient applications aimed at crafting wholesome and tasty products.
- Proven ability in product development and troubleshooting complex baking challenges.
- Proficient oral and written communication skills in English with excellent presentation abilities.
- Strong project management capabilities, comfortable handling multiple concurrent projects, and adept at meeting tight deadlines.
- A proactive, curious mindset with a drive to continually enhance work outputs and challenge existing limits to deliver superior product and service value.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and readiness for approximately 60% travel primarily within Ireland, plus occasional international trips for training and customer support.
- Flexible about working hours to meet customer needs.
- Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite and SAP tools, as well as experience with data-driven approaches.
