SVP, Program Manager (Group Finance)

About the Role

Our client is a prominent financial services company with a robust regional presence and a forward-looking agenda focused on transformation. They are investing continuously in financial innovation and enterprise-wide modernization. In line with this, they seek a seasoned SVP-level Program Manager to lead strategic programs aimed at modernizing the Group Finance function via technology-driven changes and process improvements.

Primary Responsibilities

Reporting directly to senior leaders in transformation, you will oversee the comprehensive delivery of complex business and technology programs within the Group Finance portfolio. Your work will involve collaboration with stakeholders across Finance, Technology, Risk, and external partners. The portfolio includes finance transformation initiatives, regulatory compliance projects (notably Capital and prudential reporting), upgrades and enhancements to the General Ledger, management reporting systems, finance information platforms, as well as initiatives involving emerging technologies and process optimization.

You will establish robust program governance structures, manage planning and budgeting, control risks, allocate resources efficiently, engage vendors, and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution from initial business case development through implementation, culminating in full business adoption. Additionally, partnering with senior stakeholders to align priorities, address interdependencies, and achieve sustainable outcomes in a fast-paced and matrixed organizational environment is central to this role.

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate holds a university degree and brings approximately 15 years or more of experience in project and program management within large and complex organizations. A strong history of leading enterprise-wide business and technology transformation projects, preferably involving finance or regulatory change, is essential. Expertise in programs related to regulatory capital, finance platforms, General Ledger modernization, management reporting solutions, or enterprise finance systems is highly desirable.

Experience or knowledge of emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, blockchain technology, digital assets, or data-driven solutions will be considered a significant advantage. The successful applicant will be a persuasive communicator with excellent influencing skills and executive presence, able to excel in rapidly changing environments. Possession of PMP or equivalent project management certification is beneficial.
