Quality Assurance Analyst - Usability Tester

About the Role

A top-tier information technology service provider is seeking a Usability Tester to join their remote team. This role is focused on supporting enterprise software by planning, implementing, and recording usability and functional testing tasks. Collaborating closely with business analysts, developers, and QA teams, the successful candidate will ensure applications are user-friendly, intuitive, and fulfill both business and functional needs. The position involves engagement in Agile development projects and requires the creation of test plans, execution of test cases, and defect documentation.

Key Duties

• Design and perform usability test plans, cases, and scripts.
• Assess software usability, features, and overall user experience quality.
• Detect, report, and follow up on usability defects and enhancement proposals.
• Work with cross-functional teams including business analysts, developers, and QA to address issues.
• Take part in Agile ceremonies and contribute to testing throughout the software lifecycle.
• Confirm application updates through regression, functional, and usability tests.
• Maintain detailed test documentation and share results with project stakeholders.

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience.
• Minimum of one year in usability or software testing roles.
• Proven experience developing test plans, executing test cases, and defect auditing.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving capabilities, and excellent communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
